If you have ever landed at Lungi International Airport in the Port Loko District of Northern Sierra Leone then you know that it was more a battle ground for the local brands then the face of the country. The airport is under refurbishment and the first changes are already starting to show. The shabby dingy corporate billboards now with a smoother more refined face. The tar mark also looks better. The inside is still a mess and under renovation. But with the outside already looking so good, we cant wait to see what will happen when they finish. The airport is no longer the shame of West Africa (at least not on the outside).
